Firefox 3.5 Clear Cache Button fix

Edit: The clear cache button has officially been upgraded to v0.8 to work with 3.5. You can update right though Firefox.

Chris Holtz‘s clear cache button for Firefox is probably one of the most useful add-ons that is out there. However, it’s not compatible with the latest release of Firefox 3.5. I made a quick fix to allow it. Props to Francis for the info on how to do it. To install, click the link below and when it prompts download, either choose to open it in Firefox or save it to the desktop and then drag it to the Firefox address bar.

That’s pretty sweet – however, since I never want the projects I’m working on to be cached, I’m just using the WebDeveloper toolbar, and have checked Disable Cache. Is there something to be gained here?

If you don’t want any site at all cached, then no, there isn’t. But if you’re like me and visit other sites than the one I am developing, I prefer to have those site still cached and only clear it when needed.

How does this work? I still don’t see CC.8 in Ff3.5.

    thanks

You don’t need mine anymore, I guess Chris updated it. Once you upgrade to ff 3.5 go to Tools > Add-ons and click “Find Updates” and you’ll be able to upgrade the clear cache button to 0.8 and use it again.
