What’s the big fuss over Absolute Vodka’s new ad for Mexico? I guess people in the US are upset about it depicting the reverted boarders to pre-184. Do people really care that much, I mean really, is it that offensive that Absolute has to reapologizes for it and take it down? It’s not even for the US, it’s a campaign in Mexico. The target audience is Mexicans, not Americans, who gives a crap if you/we’re offended, it wasn’t even meant to be seen in the US. There are a lot more things in this world right now to get upset about, never mind a vodka ad. I think it’s a great ad, it speaks to it’s intended audience about an issue they feel deeply about. I guess one blogger, according to the article linked off of Yahoo! this morning, wrote that he poured the remainder of his Absolute down the drain. All that shows is that you’re a moron, you already paid for it, who cares what you do with it. Ugh. Sorry for the rant, it just makes me upset how people get so worked up over nothing. [I guess that makes me a little bit of a hipocrite here then, doesn't it?]
